Schöne Idee. Sieht man nicht alle Tage.
Kurzweilig.

Museumsbesuchenden lesen an der Dichterwand / Museum visitors reading at the poet’s wall (Day 9)

Diese Minuten hier waren es alleine Wert nach Bamberg zu kommen. Eine schöne unerwartete Begegnung.

ENG Synopsis of the art work in English

With Ask a Poet, I brought literature and performance together in an interactive 'social sculpture'. I performed performed Sprich mit einem Dichter (Ask a Poet). i. Answers on the current state of the world over 60 hours on 12 days. The submission for the annual exhibition of the BBK Oberfranken (National Association of Artists in North Bavaria) got picked by the judges.

The performance task: You could visit me, the poet, in the museum and talk to me about the current state of the world. I wrote poems, anecdotes, bonmots in response to the museum visitor’s questions on the state of the world, creating an installation of texts, literalising the human encounters.

Hunderts of visitors came to speak to me in my ‘poet’s corner’ in the museum. Over five weeks, I wrote more 100+ responses. (Sample texts below in German.)

Before and after (Day 1 / Day 12): Dichter umgegeben von seinen Texten / Poet surrounded by his texts

Teil der Performance im Museum: Text für Text an die Wand hämmern / Part of the performance: Hammering text after text to the wall (Day 6)

Eine junge Frau las und sagte dann:
’Das ist echt ganz gut, was da steht.’

Ich sagte: Danke.
